Today Aleksandr Lukashenko has inspected crops in the fields of Mogilev region and Vitebsk region, his small homeland. People call them "presidential" fields, but in fact these are experimental fields. Every year Belarusian farmers use these fields located at the border of two regions to run important experiments in sowing different crops, comparing domestic and imported varieties, strictly observing technologies and principles of crop rotation. The best practices are spread throughout the country. This year the fields have been sown with grain maize (different varieties) and clover varieties. The president assessed them as very good, and even close to perfect. The head of state thanked specialists of the National Academy of Sciences and all those involved in the work, including farmers working on this land.
