A.Lukashkenko meets with country's scientific elite

Today the President met with the country's scientific elite. Traditionally, at this time Belarus sums up year's outcomes in science, certificates are handed over to doctors of sciences and professors. Addressing the meeting's participants, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that science is the most important factor in strengthening independence. Speaking about the plans for the five-year period, the head of state emphasized the need to significantly increase the research intensity of the gross domestic product. Belarus intends to make significant progress in such areas as innovative healthcare, biotechnology, electric transport and smart cities. The head of state awarded diplomas of doctors of science, professor's and scientific consultant's certificates.
