A. Lukashenko visited the Church of the Holy Prophet John the Baptist on Christmas Day

The temple is located in the agricultural town of Shershuny, Minsk district. At one time, the President personally approved its project. According to tradition, the Head of State lit a Christmas candle in the church. Alexander Lukashenko donated the "Sovereign" icon of the Mother of God to the temple. In turn, the President was presented with an icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The head of state spoke warmly with local residents and parishioners. There were mutual wishes for health and longevity, peace and tranquility on Belarusian soil.
