The level of development and potential of Belarus and Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast make it possible to double trade turnover, which is already considerable — approximately $1 bln. This was announced by the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko at a meeting with Denis Pasler, Governor of Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast. Several key promising areas for expanding cooperation were identified. These include mechanical engineering and agriculture, with the potential to increase supplies of machinery, products, and, if necessary, mineral fertilizers. Oil refining is also among the areas for intensifying cooperation, the President noted.
