Aleksandr Lukashenko made a speech at the opening of the 6th Belarusian People's Congress, which is being held in Minsk under the slogan "Unity. Development. Independence". As the Head of State stated, Belarus is going through a very serious and critical period not only in the life of the country, but also of the entire Belarusian people. The President stressed that the decisions of the Congress will not be spontaneous and unexpected, since a lot of preparatory work was carried out before the forum began, including in the format of dialogue platforms. The meeting was attended by delegates from all over the country. A total of 2,400 representatives of different professions, ages and social groups of the population. It is expected that Aleksandr Lukashenko will take part in the work of the Congress on February 12, too.
