Today Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko heard a report on the completion of the Belarusian nuclear power plant construction. The head of state focused on the safe operation of the station, emphasizing that this issue remains a priority. During the report, the issue of availability of electricity for heating residential buildings was also discussed. As reported, in October the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus issued a license to put into operation the second power unit of the station, which acknowledges that the country has now created a modern nuclear and radiation safety infrastructure.
