Belarus suggests amending the agreement with Russia on joint efforts in border protection which has been in force since 1995. Such a task was set by the head of state. The agreement on joint efforts in protecting Belarus' state border is automatically renewed every five years. Before the document is renewed for another term, the parties need to take stock of the interaction between the border services of Belarus and Russia. According to Belarus President, the document requires updating. The head of state addressed such pressing issues as third-country nationals crossing the common border and commercial vehicle queues at the Belarus-Russia border. Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus honored 100% of its commitments.
