A.Lukashenko holds session on improving activity of general courts

The main requirements for the judicial system are the rule of law, honesty, justice and decency, Belarus President said as he attended a meeting in the new building of the Supreme Court to discuss ways to improve the activity of general courts. According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, many issues in this area of expertise have already been resolved. The prestige of the profession and the appeal of judicial jobs rose. At the same time, the head of state would like judges to be more attentive to people. After all, the impression of the entire judicial vertical will depend on it. The president emphasized the need to improve the professional level of judges currently in office. It is time to dramatically change the way Institute of Retraining of Judges operates. The most experienced and well-trained specialists and psychologists will work there.
