The relations between Belarus and Russia are inviolable regardless of what some people might say or write, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with his Russian counterpart. In turn, Vladimir Putin said Minsk is the most important strategic partner and ally of Moscow. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to allied relations and expressed confidence that the emerging issues will find their solution. Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will continue negotiations in the coming days. Today, Sochi hosts a trilateral summit on Syria. The Belarusian leader was invited to meet with its participants.
