During negotiations with the leader of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirzieyev President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Minsk was pleased with the successes of Tashkent in the development of the national economy and the intensification of interstate relations. As the Head of the Belarusian state noted, the countries had a considerable potential for reaching a trade turnover of up to a billion dollars. A package of documents was signed following the official meetings. Among them is the governmental agreement on socio-economic interaction for five years. The presidents visited a road-building machinery production joint venture and an exhibition where more than 150 Belarusian enterprises participate. Its work will continue in Tashkent until September 19.
