А. Lukashenko took part in the international forum of the Union State in Volgograd

The memory of the Great Victory is part of the national idea. This was stated by the President of Belarus at the international forum of the Union State "Great heritage — common future" in Volgograd. Representatives of 20 countries came to this city of Russia on the eve of the 80^th anniversary of the Victory to honour the fallen and discuss the preservation of historical truth. Today people try to call the feat of the Soviet people an occupation, forgetting that the Red Army came to Berlin after four years of fighting with Nazi Germany. Volgograd — Stalingrad — the birthplace of Victory, where the backbone of the Third Reich was broken in 200 days, the Head of State noted. A. Lukashenko and V. Putin laid flowers at the graves of soldiers, recalling the price of the Victory.
