А. Lukashenko meets with the initiative group for collecting signatures for nomination as a presidential candidate

More than 1.5 mln signatures have already been collected for the nomination of the incumbent President of Belarus in the upcoming elections. The collection of signatures in support of Aleksandr Lukashenko will not be stopped ahead of schedule. This instruction was given by the Belarusian leader at a meeting with the head and coordinators of the initiative group. At the same time, the President asked the members of his team to decide how to proceed, but not to strain people and not to organize unnecessary signature collection points. Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that one of the most important aspects of collecting signatures is communication with people. The President asked to inform people about the problems they are concerned about so that they could correct them in the future. We would like to remind you that the collection of signatures in support of the nomination of candidates will last until 6 December inclusive. Registration of candidates will be held from 22 to 31 December. Presidential elections in Belarus are scheduled for 26 January, 2025.
