Belarus President held a session to discuss the performance of the government bodies of the national security system. The main focus was on the forthcoming presidential election in Belarus. "It is only three weeks since the election campaign kicked off. However, today we can already see that not all the candidates for the presidential election intend to act in a civilized manner. There are violations of the law and ethical norms. They use populist slogans and unsubstantiated promises in a bid to win the people’s vote", said Aleksandr Lukashenko. The president emphasized the inadmissibility of turning the collection of signatures into unauthorized rallies. The president asked the participants of the meeting how they assess the current situation and what proposals they have to strengthen stability. "The country should remain calm, despite any emerging situation. This is what we should preserve, whatever it takes", Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
