Up to 2 million tons of oil to be produced in Belarus annually

Belarusian oil industry plans to produce up to 2 million tons of oil annually. This was announced by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Andrei Khudyk. In total, about a hundred deposits have been discovered in the country, and at the moment about 1 million 750 thousand tons are extracted annually. It is planned to modernize existing and search for new deposits. According to experts, the commercial quantities of oil in Belarus make up to 51 million tons. According to the Minister, the environment is constantly monitored.
