Towards sustainability

30 new recycling facilities are being built in Belarus, 76 municipal waste sorting plants and lines are currently in operation. Over the 7 months of the year, almost 434 thousand tons of recyclable materials were collected. This is more than 50 percent of the target. The separate waste collection system continues developing with more than 700 thousand containers already deployed. These steps are taken in line with the National Strategy for the Management of Municipal Solid Waste and Secondary Material Resources through 2035.
