With the commissioning of two power units of the BelNPP, the volume of electricity generation will amount to 18.5 billion kWh per year. This was stated by the Minister of Energy Viktor Karankevich. By the end of the year, nuclear fuel will be loaded into the second power unit. It will start operating next year. As a result, Belarus will receive a reliable, economical and environmentally friendly energy source with a service life of 60 years and the possibility of its extension. This, according to the minister, is a huge contribution to strengthening the country's energy security.
