Removing obstacles in mutual trade in the CIS is a priority task. This was stated by Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko during a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Sochi. The economy of Belarus is closely embedded in the economic exchange within the union. Last year, the trade turnover between Belarus and the Commonwealth countries amounted to almost $50 billion. The volume of trade in services increased by 20%. The trade turnover inside the CIS is expected to increase. An agreement on a free trade zone for goods was signed today. Belarus proposes to establish an industry council for services and investments to monitor the implementation of this agreement.
