The sowing campaign began in the Brest region of Belarus. Warm sunny weather gave the go-ahead to the farmers. The day before the thermometer showed plus eighteen degrees Centigrade. The soil has been prepared, and peas are already sown in the fields. At the same time, winter crops are being fertilized. After these works are completed, perennial grasses will be sown. According to experts, the weather has necessitated some changes to the usual proceedings. In winter there was almost no snow. It has recently rained, and while there is moisture in the soil, farms want to plant as much as possible in time. This season, the focus will be on legumes and drought-resistant plants.
