Southern regions harvest winter barley

Harvesting campaign in Belarus continues. Now food and a stable income are more valuable than gold. The southern regions of the country were the first to enter the race for bread. In Gomel region, 11 out of 18 districts have started harvesting winter barley. Special technology allows avoiding losses. The farmers of the capital region are also concentrated on winter barley. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, this crop has already been harvested on more than 8,500 hectares. According to experts' forecasts, mass grain harvesting will not begin until the middle of the month. The task for 2022 is to harvest about 9-10 million tons.
