In Belarus, the refinancing rate has been decreased for the sixth time this year. On June 28 the figure will go down to 9.5% per annum – another quarter of a percent drop. This decision was made by the National Bank, taking into account the current situation in the economy. Mainly, the GDP and the persisting trend of slowing down inflationary processes. The regulator also notes a recovery in business activity and an increase in domestic consumption. Since the beginning of the year, the key rate went down 2.5%.
