Ministry of Agriculture: Farmers provided with machinery and seeds for spring sowing

Agricultural companies of Belarus are ready to start the spring sowing campaign in 10 days. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food reports that more than 90 percent of machinery and auxiliary equipment have been repaired. The necessary amounts of seeds have been stocked. The newest seed-breeding complex near Zhodino produces original seeds of cereals and legumes. In total, the plans for the season are to sell more than a thousand tons to the country's farms. Some of the Belarusian seeds are exported to Russia and Kazakhstan. According to experts, correctly selected varieties increase the yield potential by 30 percent.
