In Vitebsk region, special attention to be paid to development of agro-industrial complex

One of the focuses of the strategy of social and economic development of Belarus in the next 5 years will be placed on the regions. Each of them will draft their own development program. In the Vitebsk region, special attention will be paid to the agro-industrial complex. The region plans to increase agricultural output by a quarter. The plans are to revive several dozen livestock farms, complete the construction of a robotic farm. The priority task is to retain younger personnel in the countryside. Farmers will also receive support in the coming years. This will help develop new niches and increase local self-employment rates.
