Government discusses measures to stabilize foreign trade

For almost a month now, Belarus has been living under the conditions of an economic blockade, which affects the work of many enterprises. An operational headquarters operates daily at the Council of Ministers, where the situation in all sectors is considered and legal decisions are quickly made. The decree by the President on stable functioning of the economy is already in effect. A large-scale document on improving social and economic policy is on the way. The Ministry of Economy, together with other state agencies, has formed and submitted to the Presidium for consideration a comprehensive support plan, which defines areas of work in order to maintain the dynamics of development and salaries. Since the beginning of the year, our economy has picked up a good pace. According to the results of two months, GDP grew by 1.2%. Practically all key industries exceeded last year’s performance indicators.
