Belneftekhim: no serious hike in fuel prices expected

Despite all the changes in foreign markets, the task remains the same – to provide Belarusian consumers with the necessary volume of motor fuel at an acceptable cost, the agency noted. And here the strategy is still the same, namely phased and balanced price change in small steps. Since March, gasoline has risen in price periodically by two kopecks. But this is a forced measure: the influence was exerted by world prices for oil. At the same time, gasoline in Belarus is cheaper than in the neighboring countries. But for now, there are no plans to introduce any export restrictions. As for the export deliveries of oil products, sales over the first two months are at the level of the previous year. At Belneftekhim concern, they referred to the second quarter as an adaptation period in view of new realities.
