Belarusian farmers have already harvested more than 6 million tons of grain including rapeseed. Simultaneously they are working to secure the future harvest. Sowing of winter rapeseed is underway in the fields. The crop is profitable, if properly cultivated and the terms are observed. In the north of the country farmers have already sown more than half of the sixty thousand hectares allotted. They mostly rely on crop varieties resistant to adverse weather conditions. Farmers in Vitebsk region have also started harvesting early varieties of potatoes. The largest fields are located in Tolochin district.
