Belarusian farmers have come close to harvesting 7 million tons of grain. Work is underway on the last hectares in the Brest region. The harvesting is also completed by the Gomel, Grodno and Minsk regions. The average yield in the country is about 38 centners per hectare. This is much higher than last year. Whole families work in the fields of the Vitebsk region. Even schoolchildren help the farmers of the northern region. The working day for the underaged is strictly limited, while the adults work around the clock. Harvesting efforts are at their high in flax fields. In the north of the country, flax has been harvested at 80 percent of the total area.
