Belarusian buckwheat is competitive in foreign markets. Exports mainly go to neighboring countries - primarily Russia and Ukraine. Quality and low price allow the domestic product to remain competitive. However, the main task is to provide the domestic market. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the factories will receive about 19 thousand tons of buckwheat, which will later be processed into finished cereals. This is enough for each store to have its own buckwheat on the shelves. This year, the area of buckwheat sowing has increased. This is 25 thousand hectares across the country, which made it possible to increase the grain harvest by one and a half times.
