Potential GDP growth in Belarus in 2020 may amount to 1.5%. This forecast was made by the specialists of the Eurasian Development Bank. The figure is higher than the pre-crisis 2019 despite negative external factors, including the consequences of the pandemic. Due to the lack of strict quarantine, Belarus managed to accumulate production reserves and stay on the market, the bank analysts say. In general, experts predict a gradual recovery in consumer and investment demand. This will be facilitated by the consistent relaxation of quarantine restrictions.
