Belarus Finance Ministry expects no problems with budget execution

The Belarusian Finance Ministry does not expect the coronavirus pandemic to affect the budget execution, Finance Minister Maksim Yermolovich said today. Maksim Yermolovich emphasized that there is no need for emergency amendments to the budget in order to finance the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. If budget shortfalls occur, they will be offset by the resources the Finance Ministry keeps on its accounts in the National Bank, the minister added. Belarus is also experiencing no substantial problems with honoring its commitments regarding the state debt, Maksim Yermolovich continued. The Finance Ministry is now actively financing hospitals and aids Healthcare Ministry in every way possible.
