Negotiations between the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia and the head of Udmurtia took place in Moscow. Last year, trade with this Russian region grew by almost 30%, and in the first three months of this year it added more than 25%. The parties plan to expand cooperation in the construction of roads and social facilities. The meeting also discussed a project to create a joint venture for the modernization of trams. The key topic was the cooperation of Belarus with the enterprises of the military-industrial complex, which are located on the territory of Udmurtia. In addition to the economy, Belarus and Udmurtia are developing cultural ties. This summer schoolchildren from Udmurtia will visit Brest, which is the sister city of Izhevsk. In addition, Izhevsk Airlines plans to launch direct flights to Minsk.
