The Governor of the Tomsk region of Russia met with Vice-Premier of Belarus Peter Parhomchik at the Council of ministers to discuss in detail pivotal elements of cooperation. The Russian region stakes on industrial clusters, which are being actively created. Belarus has competences there which might be of use. The points at issue are extraction and processing of rare earth metals, timber processing and microelectronics. The parties were unanimous: the number of joint projects should be increased, as there is a lot of common grounds for efficient work. Belarus is ready to deliver trolleybuses and trams fully compliant with the customer’s demands, as well as equipment for the timber industry, agricultural complex, and communal machines.
