Belarus and Russia address import substitution matters

A package of investment projects for import substitution worth a billion dollars has been formed. As Belarus Deputy Industry Minister Dmitry Kharitonchik said, detailed work on the analysis of each industry and falling imports is being carried out within the framework of a joint working group of the two countries. The parties have already identified the main areas that they can replace themselves, those where additional equipment is needed, as well as the new industries than need to be set up. Relevant business plans are being developed and sources of funding sought.
