Belarusian farmers plan to harvest more sugar beet in 2023 than in 2022. This year's acreage has been expanded by more than 8 thousand hectares. First sugar from the new crop is to be produced in early September, and harvesting is to be completed by early November. Due to large-scale re-equipment, the sugar industry has taken a step forward. Production volumes have increased significantly, up to 5 million tons. The level of self-sufficiency in sugar today in Belarus is about 150%. Our country is among the top ten leading exporters of sugar in the world.
