The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade monitors discounters in the Belarusian market. The main criteria for evaluating the work of all retail facilities are affordable prices, quality of goods and the share of Belarusian food products of at least 80%. Based on the results of the audit, the regulator will determine the uniform requirements for all low prices stores to ensure correct behavior in the market. In Belarus, there are now more than 860 stores of the discounter format. Last year alone, their number increased by a hundred outlets.
