Speakers of the Council of the Republic and the Federation Council met with the heads of the Russian and Belarusian regions. N. Kochanova noted the annual growth of trade between the regions. Over the past year, 9 new joint ventures have been created. The volume of direct Russian investments in the Belarusian economy increased 1.5 times. New projects – from mechanical engineering to the humanitarian sphere – are in the pipeline. Particular attention is paid to allied programs. As a result of the meeting, new agreements were signed between the scientists of the two countries, transport departments, and regions. In particular, Novosibirsk will establish close ties with Mogilev. Arkhangelsk signed a plan of joint events until 2026. As a result of the plenary session, new contracts worth over $1.5 billion are expected to be signed.
