The first cutting of grass at Belarusian agricultural enterprises has been completed across almost half of the acreage. The fodder is being actively harvested in the Minsk region. Here more than 2 million tons of grasses are to be harvested during the first cutting. The "Bolshiye Novosiolki" branch of Borisov Baking Plant now focuses on clover and timothy grass. The legume-and-grass mixture is mowed and removed from fields in strict accordance with the technology, when the balance of moisture and protein content is at an optimum stage. The crop of clover and timothy is laid in a special trench. Using special machines, the finely chopped mixture is tightly tamped. One site, which is two and a half thousand tons of forage, is completed in three days. On the whole, the Borisov Baking Plant has accumulated enough forage to last a year and a half.
