Additional diesel generator installed at BelNPP

An additional diesel generator was installed at BelNPP. It is already connected and ready for use even when the station is completely de-energized. Back-up equipment became mandatory after the accident at the Japanese nuclear power plant Fukushima. And even though tsunamis are not typical for our latitudes, it was decided not to risk safety. The design of the Belarusian NPP was created in such a way as to exclude all kinds of accidents. On August 7, loading of nuclear fuel into the reactor of the first power unit of the BelNPP began.
