A.Lukashenko to visit Chernobyl-affected Belarusian regions

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko voiced plans to visit Chernobyl-affected regions of the country as he heard out a report by the officials in charge of fire safety and maintenance of agricultural vehicles. «First of all, I want to see the status of the sowing campaign and learn how my instructions are carried out», the head of state noted. Alexander Lukashenko also instructed to complete the construction of a new bridge over the Pripyat River in Zhitkovichi District by 7 November 2018. Late last year, some cracks appeared there and the bridge was closed for pedestrians and vehicles. A temporary crossing was set up nearby, but due to weather conditions, it did not work regularly.
