90 new
energy sources will be built in Belarus, operating exclusively on local types
of fuel. The Energy Efficiency Department plans to complete their construction
by the end of the five-year period. Belarus is systematically increasing the
number of energy sources that provide thermal energy for multi-apartment
housing stock. Today, there are 3,800 boiler houses in the housing and communal
services system, more than 70 percent of which have already been converted to
biofuel. Quite large projects are being implemented in the field of wind and
solar energy.
