More than half of components in Russian missile systems Oreshnik [hazelnut] are Belarusian. Belarus President, Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during the second session of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted: “Missile production has been mentioned here. It is unavoidable. We need the defensive capability. We have already learned how to make some things in missile production. We keep talking about Oreshnik missile systems… I didn’t really pay attention to it. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin told me: ‘Do you know that more than half of Oreshnik components are of Belarusian make?’ I said come on, it is the first time I hear about it.”
“It turns out that only missiles, which are a complicated piece of technology, are of Russian make. The rest is Belarusian,” the head of state stressed.
