Kubrakov spoke about the movement of Lithuanian trucks, the reaction of their drivers and the actions of traffic police crews.

According to him, traffic police officers have already escorted more than 1.000 Lithuanian trucks that have accumulated in the border area due to the decision of the Lithuanian authorities to close checkpoints on the border with Belarus to specially equipped guarded parking lots. Traffic police crews from Grodno and Minsk, including the Strela special forces, were redeployed to perform this task. All parking lots are guarded by Interior Ministry patrols.

"We ensure full security," the minister assured.

Currently, according to him, there are still 26 such trailers and semi-trailers standing unattended on the roadway without drivers.

"We are taking measures to identify the owners of these trailers. However, despite the media coverage, no one showed up and evacuated them. Currently, I have given the command, and all these trailers will be towed to secure parking lots," Ivan Kubrakov emphasized.

The drivers, according to him, adequately assess the current situation and speak negatively about the actions of the Lithuanian authorities. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in accordance with its competencies and tasks set The President continues to monitor the situation in the border areas, ensuring road safety.
