The management of the International Satellite TV Channel Belarus 24 is visiting Baku with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The business program of the visit was opened by a meeting with the leadership of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Chairman of the Council Ismet Sattarov thanked the Belarus 24 TV Channel for its interest in the Azerbaijani media market.
Taking into account the trusting friendly relations between the countries at the highest level, Ismet Satarov expressed confidence that the Belarus 24 TV Channel will expand its presence in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. All the necessary conditions have been created for this in terms of technical signal delivery and coverage of the territory thanks to our partners — the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos).
Representatives of the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan informed about the peculiarities of broadcasting foreign media in Azerbaijan and provided statistical information about the audience of television viewing. Thus, more than 70% of the country's population uses satellite broadcasting, which makes it possible to freely watch Belarus 24 in HD quality throughout the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and nearby regions. Today— the focus is not only on the development of IPV and OTT platforms, as well as terrestrial broadcasting and cable networks, the largest of which broadcast Belarus 24
In turn, the delegation of the Belarus 24 TV Channel spoke about the development of the media market in the Republic of Belarus, the launch of the First Information TV Channel and TV projects broadcast on Belarus 24 and other channels of the Belteleradiocompany.
The Azerbaijani side expressed a desire to exchange content in various fields and invited representatives of the Belarus 24 TV Channel to participate in future media forums in Azerbaijan.
As a result of the negotiations, an understanding was reached on the need for the Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan to recommend to local cable operators the inclusion of the Belarus 24 TV Channel in their packages.
