A literary evening dedicated to the International Mother Language Day and the Year of the Belarusian Woman was held in Minsk.
The event brought together diplomats from 30 countries. The guests were welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov.
In the historic atmosphere of the Loshitsky Complex, the heads of diplomatic missions from India, China, Kyrgyzstan, the UAE, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Syria, as well as representatives of the United Nations and the International Organization for Migration in Belarus, recited works by prominent Belarusian authors dedicated to women, mothers, and the Motherland.
The funds and archives of Belarusian television brought the voices of Belarusian writers and poets to life. The cultural program was complemented by performances by creative groups and performers of the Belarusian variety.
The literary evening was prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, the International TV channel Belarus 24, the Belarusian Radio, the Main Directorate of Stock Materials, and the musical groups of the Belteleradiocompany.
