Minsk is intensifying its cooperation with Asian nations. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos has arrived in Belarus for an official visit. The Belarusian Foreign Minister noted with satisfaction the positive momentum in cooperation between the two countries during the expanded-format talks. He also highlighted that Belarus views Laos as an important partner in Southeast Asia.

The deputies have ratified the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Belarus and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The document is aimed at expanding and strengthening cooperation between the two countries. A meeting was held in the House of Representatives of Belarus where a number of bills were considered. The ratified Treaty envisages the expansion of political, economic, trade, and cultural cooperation with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and provides for the operation of a Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The 9th China International Import Expo is taking place in Shanghai. For the ninth time this global forum has brought together companies and organizations from across the globe. Traditionally Belarusians also establish contacts with Chinese buyers at the exhibition. Fifty-three companies from Belarus are represented in Shanghai.

A meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand took place at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The discussions were held between the Director-General of the Department of European Affairs at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand in Belarus.
