The Belarusian delegation headed by the Minister of Culture laid flowers at the monument of Yakub Kolas in Tashkent.

During the Great Patriotic War, Yakub Kolas lived in evacuation in Tashkent, where he left his creative mark. The classic of Belarusian literature wrote many wonderful works about Uzbekistan, which were included in the cycle "Tashkent Bag". In addition to the monument in honor of the Belarusian pesnyar, a street was also named in Tashkent.
