The Dinamo Minsk hockey players beat their teammates from Moscow in the second overtime and advanced to the second round of the Gagarin Cup.
The final numbers on the scoreboard are 2:1, in favor of the Belarusian team.
The result of the series is 4:0, in favor of Minsk residents.
The Minsk team led 3-0 in the series before the fourth meeting and, logically, had to play reliably in defense. However, the Zubr also succeeded in attacking in the first period. First, Ty Smith shot from the blue line, Galiev adjusted the puck, but the referees saw an obstacle to the goalkeeper. The Belarusian club opened the account at the end of the period. The puck was scored by Stanislav Galiev, for whom this is the 300th goal in the KHL.
The second 20 minutes of the game were not easy for the guests. The removals forced the Zubr to defend themselves more often. In such a situation, they could not protect the goal from Nikita Gusev's accurate throw – 1:1.
In the third period, the Belarusian club was more active in attack. However, the teams moved the game to extra time. Minsk residents realized their chance with the efforts of Stanislav Galiev, who scored a double.
