Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day

Today the world remembers the tragedy of the Holocaust.  In Israel, the commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day begins with a ceremony at Yad Vashem, Israel's official memorial to victims of the Holocaust. In Minsk, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United States Department of State held a joint event to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust. This year the main theme was the 75th anniversary of the destruction of the Minsk Ghetto.
