UN Headquarters hosts summit on refugees and migrants

The UN Headquarters in New York has hosted a summit on refugees and migrants, resulting in the unanimous adoption of a declaration on settling this issue. Speaking at a high-level meeting, Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei pointed out that protracted armed conflicts are the main reason making people leave their homes on a massive scale. The principle of "shared responsibility" promoted by some countries must first of all impose responsibility on those fueling the conflicts on the territory of sovereign states.
