OSCE Ministerial Council opens in Vienna

The Ministerial Council of the states members of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe opens in Vienna. Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei is to attend the session. Vladimir Makei is set to make a speech at the plenary meeting and hold a number of bilateral meetings. The Ministerial Council is the largest annual event held by the OSCE to review the current situation in the region, evaluate its activities and outline the tasks for the near future. The current year Austria presided over the OSCE. During its presidency, special attention was paid to the elimination of conflicts, the restoration of confidence, and the fight against radicalization and violent extremism.
