73rd session of UN General Assembly opens in New York

The 73rd session of the UN General Assembly commenced in New York. It is chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador, Maria Fernande Espinoza Garces. Over 170 issues are to be considered. Among them are the development of Africa, international security, prevention of genocide, war crimes and more. One of the most extensive items on the agenda is disarmament. Belarus is one of the UN founding countries and actively participates in all events at this international platform. The Organization's charter was signed in San Francisco in October 1945.
